Program Overview – SAFEE Shared Facility:
The Sustainable Access to Finance to Enable Entrepreneurship (SAFEE) program, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, aims to deploy $1.2 billion in support of nearly 478,000 youth- and women-led MSMEs through transitional liquidity and guarantee mechanisms.
About the Role:
Kifiya is hiring a Financial and Credit Risk Analyst to enhance its portfolio monitoring and risk assessment efforts. The analyst will play a vital role in financial modelling, liquidity tracking, and ensuring robust credit risk management aligned with Kifiya’s AI-driven systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct liquidity deployment analysis and assess risk across loan portfolios

Monitor loan performance and provisioning status

Track disbursement and repayment trends to detect early risk signals

Build financial models and dashboards to report insights to stakeholders

Recommend actions to enhance credit quality and minimize defaults

Monitor guarantee utilization and generate risk summaries
-
Support performance tracking for fund forecasting and utilization analysis

Ensure compliance with risk policies and regulatory standards

Collaborate across teams to strengthen portfolio oversight and reporting

Drive improvements in risk monitoring and reporting processes
About You
Education:
-
Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, Risk Management, or related fields
Experience:
-
3–5 years of experience in financial risk analysis or credit portfolio management
Skills and Competencies:
-
Proficiency in financial modelling, Excel, and the MS Office suite
-
Experience with IFRS 9 credit classification and provisioning standards

Ability to build and maintain dashboards and risk reports
-
Strong data interpretation and communication skills
-
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Effective communicator with the ability to present complex data clearly
