About the Job

Yoholding PLC is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in the transportation industry. This role requires expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance, with a specific focus on transportation accounting. Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare accurate financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports) related to transportation operations.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential risks within the transportation sector.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and transportation-specific regulations.

Account Reconciliation

• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations for transportation assets, liabilities, and revenue streams.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records related to transport operations.

Tax Compliance

• Assist in preparing and filing tax returns specific to the transportation industry.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws affecting transportation businesses.

Internal Controls & Audit Support

• Develop and implement internal control procedures for financial accuracy in transportation accounting.

• Work with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.

Team Leadership

• Mentor and support junior accounting staff specializing in transportation accounting.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the transportation sector.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS standards for transportation accounting.

  • Advanced Excel skills (including transport-related financial formulas & functions).

  • Familiarity with accounting software used in transport finance.

• Analytical & Organizational Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially in transportation-related financial challenges.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Leadership experience in managing finance teams.
