Currently operating in five regional states, VisionFund is committed to empowering underserved populations through access to financial services.
We are currently seeking a motivated and qualified Intermediate Customer Service Officer to join our CN & West Regional branches located in Addis Ababa.
Key Responsibilities
Client Outreach & Marketing
-
Support market research and field surveys to identify demand for services.

Conduct marketing campaigns to promote loan and savings products.

Introduce prospective clients to VisionFund’s financial products and services.

Assist in organizing and conducting client focus group discussions (FGDs).

Contribute to the preparation of annual branch budgets and business plans.
Loan & Savings Administration
-
Accept loan applications and carry out detailed credit appraisals.
-
Inspect and assess collateral properties for credit evaluation.
-
Prepare and submit loan applications to the Branch Credit Committee.
-
Schedule and facilitate loan disbursements and repayment collections.
-
Transfer daily collected cash to the branch teller for processing.

Review client performance for repeat loan eligibility.

Participate actively as a member of the Branch Loan Committee.
Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting

Maintain high-quality loan portfolios with close monitoring of repayments.

Identify and follow up on clients in arrears, ensuring timely intervention.

Analyze delinquent loans and maintain accurate documentation.

Support colleagues in managing loan delinquencies before and after disbursement.
-
Act as backup for credit officers during absences or leave.

Submit regular reports and performance metrics to the Branch Manager.
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Background
-
Minimum TVET/College Diploma in one of the following fields:
-
Economics, Business Management, Marketing, Rural Development, Public Administration, Agricultural Economics, Cooperative Management, or related areas.

Experience
-
At least 2 years of relevant experience in credit, finance, or customer service within a microfinance or financial institution.
