Position Summary – IT Service Desk Analyst-I

Wegagen Bank is looking for a service-driven and technically skilled professional to join its Jimma District Office as an IT Service Desk Analyst-I. This role plays a vital part in ensuring smooth IT operations, minimizing service disruptions, and maintaining high-quality technical support across the bank's network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first line of contact for IT-related service requests and technical issues

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems quickly and efficiently

  • Log support requests and maintain detailed incident reports

  • Escalate unresolved issues to specialized technical teams

  • Support IT service management improvements and standard operating procedures

  • Provide timely updates to users on the status and resolution of their issues

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following or related fields:

    • Computer Science

    • Computer Engineering

    • Information Systems

    • Information Science

    • Software Engineering

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in IT support or service desk roles
