Job Summary

The Principal Internal Auditor will be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness, efficiency, and adequacy of the Bank’s internal control systems, governance, and risk management practices. The position also involves overseeing and implementing risk-based audit plans and ensuring the quality of audit reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop audit engagement plans based on risk assessments

• Examine and evaluate collected information and documents to support audit findings

• Follow up on pending audit cases and review auditee responses

• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the Bank’s internal control and governance frameworks

• Supervise inspection assignments to ensure full coverage of operational areas

• Safeguard the Bank’s assets through continuous auditing and control verification

• Deliver high-quality audit and inspection reports with practical recommendations

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education:

• Bachelor's/B.Sc. Degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Finance and Auditing, or a related field

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in auditing or internal control

• At least 1 year at the Senior Officer level in a professional or expert capacity

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Technical writing and audit report drafting skills

• Advanced auditing knowledge and attention to detail

• Ability to coordinate and supervise complex audit engagements
