Job Summary

We are hiring a Senior Program Manager to lead and coordinate integrated health, nutrition, WASH, and food security programs in Waghimra. This role ensures high-quality program delivery, effective team management, compliance with donor requirements, and strong coordination with partners and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership and Planning

  • Develop and oversee implementation plans, budgets, and procurement.

  • Conduct needs assessments to guide program design.

  • Ensure compliance with ACF standards and donor regulations.

  • Maintain proper program documentation and reporting.

Technical Supervision and Quality Assurance

  • Provide technical support and supervision across health, nutrition, WASH, and food security programs.

  • Mentor field teams and ensure standard practices and quality service delivery.

  • Promote gender-sensitive and protection-integrated approaches.

  • Identify capacity gaps and facilitate training sessions for staff.

MEAL and Reporting

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to internal teams and donors.

  • Collaborate with MEAL teams on data collection and analysis.

  • Lead surveys and evaluations, documenting lessons learned.

Staff Management

  • Supervise and support technical coordinators across program sectors.

  • Conduct staff performance reviews and support HR processes.

  • Foster a positive, respectful, and performance-driven team environment.

External Representation and Coordination

  • Represent Action Against Hunger in regional coordination platforms.

  • Engage with government bodies, UN agencies, and NGOs.

  • Facilitate collaboration with partners for multisectoral responses.

Safeguarding and Gender Commitments

  • Promote gender equality and safe work environments.

  • Uphold the organization's safeguarding policies.

  • Prevent any form of abuse, exploitation, or harassment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Medicine, or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience, OR

  • Master’s degree in a related field with 5+ years of experience, including 2–3 years in managerial roles.

  • Strong experience managing integrated health and livelihood programs.

  • Proven technical knowledge in IYCF-E, CMAM, maternal and child health.

  • Skilled in training, mentoring, and technical leadership.

  • Familiar with donor compliance, reporting, and proposal development.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and data tools like SPSS or Epi Info.
